First, there’s Daniel—our fearless and cautious leader. Yes, somehow he’s both. I waited what felt like a lifetime for him, and now that I’ve found him, it seems impossible to remember what life was like before we met. We got married in May of 2024 and soon after found out we’d be welcoming his visual mini-me and my attitude with a kick: our daughter, Stevielyn.

You’ll quickly notice that I’m not in a lot of the photos. Partly because I’m incredibly picky about photos, and partly because Daniel is the mechanic, not the photographer. We’ve also decided, at least for now, to keep Stevie’s face off the internet. Maybe one day that will change, but right now I get to protect her in that way.

Then there are the boys.

Kenai, our incredible cat, showed up one day and stole my heart before eventually winning over Daniel too. Naturally, he needed a brother to roughhouse with—and oh, do they roughhouse.

That brings us to River. River makes Stevie squeal with excitement and somehow manages to get in trouble for eating absolutely anything and everything. If there’s one lesson we’ve learned quickly, it’s that a dog with the runs in a rooftop tent is not an experience I’d recommend.
